Our Presidents Christmas 2024 Message
The last event of 2024 was our toy run to Arrowe Park Children's ward. CWSMBA took over £1500 worth of toys which were gratefully received by the play team.
The final breakfast of 2024, held in Ellesmere Port included the patching in of a new brother (Welcome Barge!) and a visit from the Grinch.
Also in December, our very own Fireman Sam (who is actually an ex fireman!) and Cactus Jack presenting the Fire Brigade Benevolent Fund down in Oxfordshire with a cheque.
At the start of December, the Cheshire Chapter held their Christmas Party. Over 70 party goers enjoyed a live band and buffet. The fantastic raffle which was made posssible by Shotgun and two of our fantasitic ladies, raised over £1,300 for our toy run to Arrowpark Childrens Ward.
November is always a busy time for CWSMBA members as we attend various remembrance services accross the county. Members also lay wreaths and crosses at cenotaphs and VC graves.
A rather chilly sunday morning ride at the start of November saw members head over to Zip World in North Wales. The members rode over to support some Provincial brethren, including the Cheshire PGM in their charity event. A £100 cheque was presented towards the fundraising.
October was the annual RTTW (RideTo The Wall), which saw a number of members ride down to the National Arboretum in Staffordshire, with 10,000 other bikers to remember fallen service personnel.
September saw two new members (Worzel and Gnasher) join our Chapter, they were patched on our monthly rideout which took us to not so sunny Wales.
In July CWSMBA attended the national rally held in Newton Abbot, Devon. A great weekend of camping, brotherhood and charity was had. £16,000 was raised collectively for good causes.
In June CWSMBA accompanied North West Chaper at the start of their Fireball Run. We gathered at Wallesey Masonic Hall where CWSMBA presented a £200 donation for North West's chosen charity.
In May CWSMBA accompanied North Wales Chaper and Kernow Chapter on a ride to the biker favourite Ponderosa cafe. As part of the North Wales Chapter's 10th anniversary bash.
CWSMBA presented a cheque for £100 to Merseyside lowland search and rescue, who are based in the emergency services training centre Wallasey.
CWSMBA members present 2nd Bebington Scout Group with a £250 donation, coupled with donations from two masonic lodges and the Province of Cheshire a total of £2650 was donated for the purchase of new tents. The cheque presentation organised by our Treasurer. Read more here.
Once a year Widows Sons Scotland invite a select number of brethren to their special branding cermony. We can't reveal any more than that. Branded borthers are identifiable by the WS brand, L shaped patch and WS tartan.
Our yearly "blessing of the bikes" was held in a unusually sunny March. Presided over by our Chaplin "Dobbsy"
Also in March a anumber of CWSMBA members rode over to a RMBI care home in Crosby to support "TinTin's" very generous donation of over sixty easter eggs. Supported by the Province of Cheshire and a couple of members from the neighbouring North West Chapter.
The start of 2024 meant it was time for the CWSMBA AGM, held at Cheshire View. After three years as president Pete Wright aka "Cridosi" it was time for a change of President and Vice President and officers. At the AGM our 2024-25 charity was voted on, Cheshire Doc Bikes. A £500 cheque was presented.
